Astrid & Miyu is more than just a jewelry brand. It’s a movement on a mission to revolutionize the jewelry experience. 60% of their products are made from recycled metals, with 100% of their gold jewelry crafted from recycled solid gold. The brand also operates its own recycling scheme: Astrid & Renew. The program encourages consumers to return their old jewelry, which is then processed. Grove Collaborative 

Grove Collaborative is a Certified B Corporation that offers eco-friendly household cleaning products for home surfaces and clothes, including a line of Beauty products. Grove Collaborative also uses more eco-friendly packaging materials, offsets their carbon emissions, and has partnered with Arbor Day Foundation to help plant one million trees during the next three years.

The eponymous Dyper (like diaper) creates premium bamboo diapers. These diapers are free of chlorine, latex, alcohol, lotions, TBT, or Phthalates and are also unprinted, unscented, soft to the touch, yet durable and absorbent. Knickey

Made Trade offers a range of products from hundreds of artisans and makers worldwide. They have a great selection of bedding, blankets, and throw pillows. All products are extensively vetted to make sure every product “promotes the health of our planet” and aligns with one or more of Made Trade’s seven core values: Sustainable, Fair Trade, Vegan, Heritage, Made in the USA, People of Color Owned, and Women-Owned.

Saatva 

Saatva is one of this year’s top-rated mattresses. It uses eco-friendly foams, recycled tempered steel, and organic cotton coverings to make its hybrid memory foam mattresses. Saatva’s business model is focused on reducing their carbon footprint – not only better for the environment but also eliminating costs to make their mattresses more affordable. The company is also entirely paperless.

Plushbeds

PlushBeds is a direct-to-consumer brand that sells organic mattresses made with certified organic cotton, wool, and latex. They are “one of only six manufacturers whose factory has GOTS and Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) certifications verified by Control Union.”

Activewear

Girlfriend Collective 

Girlfriend Collective was one of the first brands to make activewear from recycled plastic water bottles (sourced from Taiwan’s Garbage Island). Their packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable. They also use other materials for their products, such as recycled fishing nets, ECONYL yarn, and cupro, a delicate fiber made from waste left behind by the cotton industry.

Outdoor voices 

Outdoor Voices is an activewear brand committed to protecting the environment, or in their own words: “our playground.” They build clothing designed for longevity so that consumers don’t throw them away and for circularity –  easily recyclable. Outdoor Voices found that 70% of their environmental impact was due to fabrics and packaging. They decided to prioritize using sustainable alternatives to conventional fabrics and using packaging that is recycled and recyclable.

Loungewear

Pact 

Pact has been praised for its sustainable pajamas and loungewear. Pact’s mission is to build “Earth’s Favorite Clothing Company.” They only use natural, certified organic, long-staple cotton made in Fair Trade-certified facilities without toxic dyes.

Coyuchi 

Coyuchi’s pajamas are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. They focus on keeping their products toxin-free. Coyuchi works with Fair Trade-certified partners, paying their employees a decent living wage. They are also members of 1% for the Planet – sourcing Climate Beneficial wool by working with Fibershed.
