Skimlinks reveals Singles’ Day Sales increased 335% year-on-year, as Click Frenzy traffic grows 116%

NOVEMBER 18 2020 – SYDNEY AND LONDON – Skimlinks, a Connexity Company, has revealed Singles’ Day sales grew 335% year-on-year, as Australian ecommerce event Click Frenzy saw traffic increase 116% in the same period. The results reflect the significant increase in creation of commerce content by editorial content publishers across Asia-Pacific and Australia since 2019.
“The results from Singles’ Day and Click Frenzy continue the global ecommerce boom we’ve seen throughout 2020,” said Skimlinks CEO Sebastien Blanc, “Singles’ Day Traffic grew almost 700% year-on-year and publisher commissions during Click Frenzy in Australia grew 414%. These numbers reflect the hard work of our APAC team and the enthusiastic response of readers to the vibrant commerce content created by our editorial publishers across that market.”

Top merchants include a mix of local and international brands, with Lazada, Farfetch, Adidas, iHerb, Lenovo, Nike and Klook among top performers during Singles’ Day. Top products included the iPhone 11 Max and the Marni Market Woven Tote Bag from Farfetch.
During Click Frenzy, The Iconic, Catch, Adore Beauty, Kogan, Bonds and Myer led performance, with consumers embracing Australian brands, with an average order value of $206 AUD across top articles. Top products included Craftsmen Boots from The Iconic and the Dyson V7 Motorhead Vacuum.
Multiple publishers took advantage of Skimlinks Editorial network – which produces bespoke commerce content on publishers behalf – during the events.

The strong performance of both events reflects mounting anticipation of the biggest Black Friday ever later in November.
