Skimlinks and Merchants

We work with high quality content sites to help them get rewarded for the role they play in driving engaged converting traffic to your site. We offer a clever technology that doesn't interfere with the site's editorial integrity or their users' experience. When publishers link to you, or talk about your products, we'll automatically turn those links and words into affiliate links, so you can reward them.

Publishers outsource their affiliate marketing to us, as we have technology that can automate and improve upon a process that would normally be manual and error-prone. Affiliate marketing can be time-consuming and resource intensive to implement. We provide a simple solution for publishers to start driving sales to you, while they focus on what they are good at, creating quality content about your products.

Skimlinks has opened up the world of affiliate marketing, making it a viable business model for all publishers, from national news sites and content networks to forums and specialist blogs; we provide an easy way for more sites to link and drive traffic to your products. With our technology working behind-the-scenes, conversion and click-through rates are not affected like they are with traditional affiliate links.

We can do. Skimlinks turns merchant links into affiliate links on-the-fly, so users do not see ugly affiliate links in their browser's status bar. This means that users trust what they are clicking on, leading to higher click-throughs and conversion rates.

You don't need to sign-up to Skimlinks, just make sure Skimlinks is approved as an affiliate in your affiliate program through your network. If you do not currently have an affiliate program please contact us for more information about how you can work with Skimlinks.

Publishers need to apply to get Skimlinks on their site. We only approve publishers with high quality sites with original content, good traffic levels and potential for high conversion rates.

We inform our affiliate networks of all the publishers we are working with, and are transparent in working with merchants to generate more sales and supporting publishers that link to you.

If for any reason you do not want to work with a specific publisher's site, please let us know and we can exclude you on a case-by-case basis, or across all of Skimlinks.

We have a strict approval process; we only want publishers who will add value to our merchants. Our terms of service reflect all the key merchant program terms (for example no brand name bidding, no inappropriate content, etc.) and these are available for you to review here. Once a Publisher applies, we vet each site individually and only approve those that add value to the purchase process, offer a service or create content that complements the merchant's business.

We also provide a merchant login that gives you visibility of publishers linking to you, and the ability to opt-out of specific publishers if you prefer not to work with them.

We provide a tool that keeps publishers up to date on what merchants we are integrated with, so they have an easy way for looking up merchants they may want to promote on their site.

We let our publishers know about Skimlinks merchants and special offers in the publisher interface, via newsletters, our blog and Twitter.

The merchants we feature are those in our Preferred Partner Program.
